Recent Testimonials

Diane Ludwig and the Alexander Technique have fundamentally changed my life.

Diane is professional, knowledgeable and skilful. She has excellent communication skills and is able to explain complex concepts with an impressive understanding of human anatomy and body mechanics.

The Alexander Technique and Diane’s approach to it have helped me release longstanding stress and tension that I was holding in my body and which was hindering my ability to play the violin and the piano. I was unable to move my wrist, hands and arms in the way I needed to. I felt I had lost the ability to be able to move these parts of my body as I wished.

Amazingly, throughout the sessions I gained more energy for all my activities. I found myself wanting to run, skip and jump when I was interacting with my family. I can move more easily overall, and experience less pain, stress and anxiety when playing my instruments.

I highly recommend Diane and the Alexander Technique.

I reached out to Diane for Alexander lessons to help with my speaking voice. I have learnt so much within a short space of time and I would recommend Diane to anybody - her practice is inclusive, professional and really effective.

I have been taking piano lessons with Diane for one and a half years, during which she helped me to achieve a distinction in my ABRSM grade 8 piano exam. Her attention to detail has been valuable to my improvement and has ensured that I left every lesson motivated to continue mastering different techniques.

One of Diane‘s commendable qualities is her ability to explain complex music theory and technique elements clearly and effectively. With a deep understanding of both, her lessons are always well-structured, focussed on improving technique and understanding the principles of music.

She recognises individual strengths and areas for improvement, providing personalised feedback that has been vital in my musical journey. Her positive attitude and constructive criticism have helped me grow as a pianist and a musician with a deeper appreciation for my instrument.

Diane is passionate about music and teaching, and it shows in every lesson. Her contribution to my musical education has been priceless, and I am very grateful for her guidance and support in helping me reach this level of skill. I highly recommend her to anyone who desires to learn and excel in playing the piano.

After struggling with arm and back pain for over a year, and finding that medical input was of limited use, I decided that some coaching in Alexander Technique could help. As a musician I had some prior experience of the technique, although this was quite limited.

Over the course of our sessions, Diane has helped me understand that effective use of the body is as much about thinking as it is about moving, and I was then able to identify changes I can make in order to move with more ease and coordination.

By thinking about how I move in conjunction with the medical input, my symptoms are improving and I now feel much more confident that I will recover. Thank you!
